AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—SEPTEMBER 5, 2019—Mr Jess Jenkins, winner of the $3 million All American Futurity (G1), and Rustys Miracle, winner of the $1.55 million All American Derby (G1), both made big moves in the latest AQHA Racing National Polls after the Labor Day weekend —racing action at Ruidoso Downs.

In the poll for 3-year-olds and up, Apocalyptical Jess, winner of the Ruidoso Derby (G1) in June, held the No. 1 spot, despite not running over the holiday weekend after not qualifying to the All American Derby. The winner of that race, Rustys Miracle, jumped up to No. 2 in the poll after a victory at 16-1 odds with Noe Garcia Jr. up for owner J & SM Inc. and trainer Fred Danley.

Also making a move in the older-horse poll was Bill Hoburg's homebred BH Lisas Boy, who climbed into a tie with Powerful Favorite at No. 3 after taking the $100,000 Go Man Go Handicap (G1) on September 1 at Los Alamitos, and German Amaya's CDs Wine N Dine, who took the All American Gold Cup (G1) over older horses and moved into the poll at No. 8.

The rankings are likely to hold steady in the short term until the schedule of major races heats up again this fall, including the Bank of America Challenge Championships set for October 26 at Albuquerque Downs.
