FREDERICKSBURG, TX—JUNE 23, 2020—Gillespie County Fairground Association has released their 2020 stakes schedule and Condition Book which includes $1,500 across the board purse increase for both Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred day races.

The 2020 G.C.F.A. live race meet will run July 4 thru August 23.

"With the most recent deposit of the tax escrow monies we find it possible to increase the purses without any fear of overpaying," GCFA Racing Secretary Shyrl Hopkins said today. "The Quarter Horse people have suffered pretty badly through all the cancelling going on in Texas racing so we're hoping this will help somewhat."
