CLAREMORE, OK—NOVEMBER 6, 2019—Saturday's race card at Will Rogers Downs is pack full of stakes action, including two for Paint and Appaloosas and three black type events for Quarter Horses.

Race 9 on the card is the $179,146 Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Futurity and Race 7 in the $77,920 Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Derby.

Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Futurity

Fastest qualifier Liarliar Hocksonfire has been set 3-1 as the morning line favorite for the 350 yard $179,146 Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Futurity. Trainer Josue Ponce conditions the stakes-placed son of a leading first-crop sire Kiss My Hocks for owners Jose Guzman and RIto Sosa.

Blazin Farms LLC and Conda Maze bred the sorrel gelding in Oklahoma from the champion This Snow Is Royal mare Blazin Fire. Liarliar Hocksonfire has compiled a (6) 2-1-1 ($60,647) record this season including finishing third in the FL Lady Bug Stakes and a finalist in the RG1 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity. Leading jockey James Flores will ride from Gate 3.

Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Derby

Tarish, a stakes winning son of champion Prospect To The Top, has been set 7-2 as the morning line favorite in Saturday's $77,920 Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Derby at Will Rogers Downs.

Racing for owner J. Lloyd Yother, the brown gelding will look to improve off a third-place effort in the trials when he qualified with the eighth fastest time. Prior to that start Tarish won the Speedhorse QH Derby at Fair Meadows. Also second in the Jack Brooks Stakes and third in the Oklahoma Derby(G3), he has won or placed in seven of eight starts this season and banked $83,613.

Dee Keener conditions the Oklahoma-bred gelding out of Grade 1 winner and graded producer Fast Prize Zoom by Shazoom. Daniel Torres will ride the William E. Smith bred earner of nearly $110,000 from gate 9.

Fastest qualifier Valiant High, a son of leading sire Valiant Hero, has been set at 5-1 and will start from stall 4 under jockey Agustin Silva. Charlton Hunt trains the four-time winner for owner Jerry Windham. You and Me Partners bred Valiant High from the On A High mare Also A High.
