ARDMORE, OK—JUNE 14, 2020—Pandemic or not the Quarter Horse Sale Market is not taking a backseat. The proven barrel sire JL Dash Ta Heaven sold at auction Saturday (June 13) for $1,750,000 at the Jud Little Ranch Dispersal Sale in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Whitmire Ranch (Ray & Lainie Whitmire) of Oklahoma was the successful bidder.

JL Dash Ta Heaven (Dash Ta Fame x Dynas Plain Special x Special Feelins), a multiple arena record holder, Old Fort Days Derby Champion and NFR qualifier has already sired more than $2.25 million in barrel horses, including NFR Qualifier Hell On The Red and many futurity champions like A Dash Ta Glamour and JL Jamacian Me Rich.

The final offering of genetics from legendary barrel horse breeder Jud Little, who passed away in March (see related story), was held Saturday (June 13) .

Over 120 head, from leading sires and blue-blooded broodmares to futurity prospects and performance horses were sold.

The auction was held online through Superior Livestock due to COVID-19 restrictions.
