LAWTON, OK—APRIL 1, 2012—Longtime Oklahoma horsemen Terry Bell lost his battle with cancer today.

Bell, of Lawton, Oklahoma, along with his longtime friend Homer "Bud" Hill, will be inducted later this month into the Oklahoma Horse Racing Hall of Fame at Remington Park.

For years legendary trainer Jack Brooks trained for Bell in the stable name "You And Me Partners", winning many stakes in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana. In 2011 Raymond Vargas, a former assistant to Brooks, took over handling their stable, qualifying several horses to both the All American(G1) and Rainbow(G1) futurities at Ruidoso Downs.

With Hill, Bell has bred more than 100 winners with earnings in excess of $1.5 million, including such stakes horses as Dash For Cash Derby(G1) winner Mighty Invictus; Remington Park Futurity winners Mighty B Valiant and Crater Lake; RG2 winner Conner Can and RG3 winner Paintyourownwagon.

Bell and Hill also owned and raced the 2000 All American Futurity winner and leading sire Eyesa Special, in partnership with Jim Pitts; and Grade 1 winner and #2 Leading First Crop sire of 2011, Valiant Hero, in partnership with Henry and Mimi Brown.

Funeral arrangements for Bell and a complete obituary will be posted on StallioneSearch.com when it becomes available.
