CLARE, MN—MAY 16, 2012—Walter and Carolyn Bay, who under the name of their T-Bill Stables bred and race world champion Cold Cash 123, have been recognized by the state of Michigan.

The residents of Clare were recognized in a ceremony this past weekend for "qualities much admired by the people of Michigan."

With a small broodmare band, the Bays have raced the earners of more than $2 million. Cold Cash 123 has won 10 of 15 lifetime starts and earned $1,039,471. The 4-year-old gelding was last year named world champion, champion 3-year-old and champion 3-year-old gelding. In March, he won the Leo Stakes (G1), his most recent start. Cold Cash 123 is by Oak Tree Special and out of the Bays' homebred Takin On The Cash mare Hot Cash 123.
