OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 24, 2013—Wonderful news, the United States Secretary of Agriculture has provided a hotline phone number that is now being continuously monitored to report livestock or large animal needs from storm related damage throughout Oklahoma.

Additionally, they are creating a resource list of callers who can help with donations of services or cash to cover services so desperately needed by the storm victims.

If you have a need or know someone who has livestock that need attention, etc. call this number immediately (405) 837-7240. You can also call this number if you want to donate feed, fencing, medical supplies, etc. and they will direct you as to how you can best provide assistance.

On another note, the OQHRA announced today they do not need any further donations of clothing, shoes, household goods, or food at the racetrack.

The association has a huge resource of those items and they are now looking for people that need any clothing, shoes, etc. Please call Debbie Schauf at 405-640-2628 if you can help identify people that need assistance.

OQHRA has clothing for infant through adult XXXL sizes and they have a large supply of non-perishable food.

"We are still accepting financial donations and also taking information from horse families that need financial help so we can make the best use of the money that is being collected," Ms. Schauf said.
