OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 31, 2013—A severe line of thunderstorms that are generating tornadoes have forced the cancelation of the final 10 races on the Friday night race card at Remington Park.

Remington Park racing will continue Saturday and Sunday as the 2013 American Quarter Horse Season comes to a close. The first race on Saturday is at 6pm with Sunday afternoon racing at 1:30 pm.

The Saturday program is the “Mega-Card” with the final six races comprising the following stakes schedule:

  • Race 7, $75,000 Heritage Place Juvenile, 8:36pm
  • Race 8, Grade 1, $249,175 Speedhorse/Graham Farms Paint & Appaloosa Futurity, 9:02pm
  • Race 9, Grade 2, $285,780 Heritage Place Derby, 9:28pm
  • Race 10, Grade 1, $1,075,260 Heritage Place Futurity, 9:54pm
  • Race 11, Grade 1, $250,000 Remington Park Championship, 10:20pm
  • Race 12, Grade 2, $50,000 Junos Request Stakes, 10:46pm
Remington Park’s final three race dates of the American Quarter Horse & Mixed-Breed season takes place Friday thru Sunday, May 31-June 2. The first race Friday and Saturday is at 6pm with the final afternoon underway at 1:30pm Sunday.
