OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, 2017—Have you ever wondered what it takes to train a racehorse? Thought about owning a racehorse, but not sure what you're getting into? Maybe you already own a racehorse and your curious about what actually goes on.
So, if you have ever wanted to know more about Quarter Horse Racing and all that goes with it you won’t want to miss out on this! Now is your chance to go behind the scenes and learn what goes on in a race barn.
Participants will also get an inside look at how the race track operates on a race day and they will meet racing officials and professionals.
Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) and Remington Park is offering anyone the opportunity to learn more about racing next month.
The day, which starts at 7:15 a.m., will allow people to learn about training and owning racehorses, seeing how a racing barn operates, and learning about the day-to-day operations of a racetrack.
Participants must be at least 16 years of age. One participant aged 16-18 may also be selected to participate in the AQHYA Youth Racing Experience later this year.
Applications are due on April 28th.
