Los Alamitos Race Course has made the proactive decision to cancel tomorrow's (Saturday) racing program due to rain.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA–MARCH 29, 2024–With a forecast of rain for this weekend in Southern California, Los Alamitos has canceled its Saturday night racing program. Los Alamitos is not racing this Sunday night in observance of Easter.

Live racing will resume next week. Gate works for 2-year-olds have been moved from Saturday to Friday morning starting at 10 am. Trainers can work up to 4 horses at the same time on Friday. All gate works will be available for viewing on Friday afternoon at LosAlamitos.com.

Trials to the Grade 2 Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity are set for Sunday, April 21. Next weekend’s racing action will be headed by the running of the $30,000 James Smith Memorial for 3-year-olds on Saturday, April 6.

Los Alamitos will be open or daytime simulcasting this weekend with huge cards of Thoroughbred racing on tap at Oaklawn Park and Gulfstream Park. Kentucky Derby preps on Saturday will include the Arkansas Derby and the Curlin Florida Derby. Los Alamitos will also be open for nighttime simulcasting on Saturday and Sunday nights.
