Adrian Ramos was named the leading Quarter Horse rider for the just completed Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino 2024 meeting.

SUNLAND PARK, NM–APRIL 7, 2024–Quarter Horse jockey, trainer and owner leaders for the just completed Sunland Park 2024 race meet have been announced.

Jockey Adrian Ramos took home top jockey honors after riding 20 winners from 119 starters.  His win clip with 17% with 50% finishes in the top three.   Ramos mounts earned $559,859.

Christian Ramos was second with 19 winners and earnings of $563,612, while Noe Garcia, Jr. finished third with 17 wins and earners of over $600,000.

Trainer Wesley T. Giles took home top trainer honoros with 18 winners and earners of $482,351.  He has 21% win clip with 50% of horses in the top three.

Eric Valenzuela had 13 winners earn $539,051 and James J. Gonzales III had 8 wins with $407,366 in earnings.

Adrian Zapata and La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC tied for leading owner with five wins each.

Zapata had 50% winners with earnings of $148,714 and La Feliz Montana had 19% winners with $75,320 in earnings.

Denis and Julie Schoenhofer, Javier Chavez, Scott Branson and Jimmy Vasquez, Tomas Avitia, Jose Meraz, Luis Daniel Iturralde and Juan E. Poblano had four winners each on the season to tie for second.
