ALBUQUERQUE, NM-–SEPTEMBER 20, 2022–
Danjer, a 6-year-old son of champion FDD Dynasty and the sport's reigning world champion, drew the rail post for Sunday's 440-yard, $300,000 Albuquerque Fall Championship (G1) at Albuquerque Downs.

Racing for Downtime Enterprises LLC, Billy G. Smith,and trainer Dean Frey, Danjer has won his last two starts, including the 440-yard, $250,000 Debbie Schauf Remington Park Invitational Championship (G1) on May 28. The Oklahoma-bred gelding will be ridden by Cody Smith.

Hesa Party Wagon, a 4-year-old Hes Relentless gelding owned and trained by Juan Manuel Baeza, won both of his starts at Ruidoso Downs last summer, including the 350-yard, $75,000 Labor Day Weekend Stakes on September 4. An $8,000 purchase at the 2019 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, Hesa Party Wagon will be making his first start at the classic 440-yard distance on Sunday.

Hesa Party Wagon drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jose Enrique Ortiz.

Other contenders include Ruse Ranch's Pops First Lady, a 4-year-old Apollitical Jess mare who will be facing males off of a three-race win streak that includes a one-length victory in the 400-yard, $100,000 Junos Request Stakes (G1) for distaffers at Remington Park on May 28. Pops First Lady drew post 9 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa for trainer Jason Driver.
