Friday’s 250-yard, $20,000 Delta Dash Stakes has drawn a full field of 10 sprinters, topped by Joel Galindo’s Scoopies Leaving You. A 6-year-old Coronas Leaving You stallion trained by Kevin Broussard, Scoopies Leaving You will be shortening in distance off of his second-place finish, a neck behind winner Cute Mic Jagger, in the 350-yard, $25,000 Mr Jess Perry Stakes (R) for state-breds at Louisiana Downs on February 25.
Scoopies Leaving You drew post 9 and will be ridden by Donald Watson. The stallion’s nine opponents include Rbd Jessaswingin, a 5-year-old Swingin Jess mare trained by Yoani Abreu for owner Jaime Gutierrez. Rbd Jessaswingin won both of her outs during the Louisiana Downs winter meet, including the 350-yard, $25,000 Party Girl Stakes (R) for state-bred distaffers on January 28.
