CLAREMORE, OK–NOVEMBER 19, 2024–Following an unprecedented spring and summer for Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs, the American Quarter Horse Association has officially completed the 2024 fall racing season at the premier racing facility.

A total of 276 races ran on 28 regularly scheduled days, starting on Sept. 9. Fifty races were with mixed (Paint and Appaloosa) horses and 226 with Quarter Horses. The season concluded on Nov. 12 with more than $4.2 million in wagers.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–NOVEMBER 19, 2024–The 2024 Fall Meeting of Champions at Lone Star Park came to a close on Saturday, November 16, after 32 days of racing.

A total of 333 races, with an average field size of 9.0, were contested during the meet. Most of the races featured American Quarter Horses, but several other breeds, including Arabians, Paints, Appaloosas, and Thoroughbreds, were in on the action too.

Born to Elihue Clifton and Ollie Beatrice Throneberry (Minor) on April 10, 1936, in Wartrace, Tennessee, Cliff learned the values of hard work and determination early on, principles that would guide him throughout his life.

BISMARCK, ND–NOVEMBER 16, 2024–The North Dakota Racing Commission granted the North Dakota Horse Park four weekends of live horse racing and Chippewa Downs in Belcourt five weekends of live racing.

SHELBYVILLE, IN–NOVEMBER 14, 2024–Mr Michel is still going strong at the age of five. The sorrel son of Kiss My Hocks, named after his breeder Mark Michel, scored four wins in 2024, three of which were stakes victories, placing him above both Tres of Blood and Escondido Gold for the honor.
