The Downs of Albuquerque will begin hosting the remainder of the Ruidoso Downs 2024 race meet on Friday, July 26.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–JULY 22, 2024–Plans are continuing to be made for Ruidoso Downs Race Track's 2024 season to move to the Downs of Albuquerque starting this Friday, July 26.

Racing will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with post time scheduled for 12:30 p.m. each day.

Stakes events that were postponed last weekend, including the $800,000 Rainbow Derby, $100,000 Rainbow Invitational, and $480,000 Rainbow Oaks Presented by Rolling Still Vodka and Ponderosa Whiskey, will be held this Saturday and Sunday. The $350,000 Zia Futurity and $170,000 Zia Derby will also be run this weekend.

The dates for the New Mexico-bred Horse Sale (Aug 9-10) and Ruidoso Downs Select Sale (Aug 30 to Sept 1) remain the same but will be held at Tingley Coliseum.

There will be twelve Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse races scheduled each day.
