Nominations for the 2025 TQHA Sire's Cup Futurity and Derby are due April 15.

ELGIN, TX–MARCH 18, 2025–Nominations for the 2025  $75,000 Added Sires Cup Futurity (RG2) and the $50,000 Added Sires Cup Derby are due April 15th.

"When filling out the nomination blanks, please complete the form in its entirety," TQHA Director of Racing Scott Sherwood said. "You can mail the form in with a check or money order. If you want to pay with a credit card, you can fill out the credit card information on the form and either mail it in or email it to ssherwood@tqha.com."

This race is open to ALL foals of sires on the eligibility list. This list is PRELIMINARY and will likely change as the stallion owner buyback period continues.  The preliminary list of eligible stallions (as of March 17th) can be found on the TQHA website or by CLICKING HERE.

"The list is three pages long, so be sure you scroll through all the pages to ensure you see all the eligible sires," Sherwood added. 

The list is divided into three colored sections.  If your horse's sire is listed under the BLUE header or the GREEN header, then your horse is eligible for the Sires Cup Futurity.  If your horse's sire is listed under the BLUE header or the PURPLE header, then your horse is eligible for the Sires Cup Derby.

Last year, the Sires Cup Futurity purse was $205,000, and the Sires Cup Derby purse was $105,000.
