Oklahoma Futurity(G2) Recap (VIDEO)

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MARCH 23, 2025–StallioneSearch.com wraps up its webcast coverage of quarter horse racing with the Oklahoma Futurity (G2) and the Oklahoma Derby (G3) weekend at Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In this episode, StallioneSearch.com was present to capture the action of the 2025 $419,735 Oklahoma Futurity (G2). The coverage included a post-race interview with former AQHA World Champion Jockey Ricky Ramirez, who celebrated his victory aboard the fastest qualifier from the second night of trials, Flying Joy 1.

This Oklahoma-bred American Quarter Horse filly is sired by the leading third-crop sire Flying Cowboy 123 and is out of the First Moonflash mare Kylee Joy.

She won her trial by a head on a cold, sloppy night, clocking the fifth-fastest time to the finals, where she returned to score a surprise upset at 6-1 odds.

Owner David R. Rogers purchased the filly for $49,000 at the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
