Retama Derby nominations are due today, April 15.

SELMA, TX–APRIL 15, 2025–Retama Park reminds horsemen that nominations for the $100,000-added Retama Park Derby are due today, April 15, 2025.

Trials for the 400-yard derby will be contested on Wednesday, July 2, and the final will run back on Saturday, July 26.

For foals of 2022 to become eligible, the $250 nomination fee must be paid or postmarked by today, Tuesday, April 15.

Payment Schedule
> $250 to Nominate by April 15, 2025
> $400 to Sustain by May 13, 2025
> $500 to Sustain by June 10, 2025
> $1,200* to enter the Trials on June 25, 2025

* The $1,200 at time of entry fee must be in the Retama Park racing office or horsemen’s account prior to the close of entries.

Late payment schedule
$1,500 only by May 13, 2025
$2,500 only by June 10, 2025

Supplemental Nominations:
$7,000 is due at entry time for the trials (Includes all fees).
