ALBUQUERQUE, NM–OCTOBER 19, 2025–StallioneSearch.com continues its on-site coverage of the 2025 AQHA Racing Challenge Championship weekend with feature coverage of the $118,975 Q-Racing Video Distance Challenge Championship (G1), showcasing the sport’s premier distance specialists going 870 yards.
Saturday’s action at Albuquerque Downs saw Handin Out Candy deliver a commanding front-running victory in the Grade 1 event before the evening’s remaining stakes races were postponed due to an unexpected power failure at the track.
Asserting control from the start, Handin Out Candy displayed both speed and stamina under jockey Omar Iturralde, completing the distance in 44.496 seconds with a 102 speed index.
The 6-year-old sorrel gelding drew clear to win by two and one-quarter lengths for owner Emilio Perez and trainer Paul Sedillo. Bred in Alabama by Paris Wixon, Handin Out Candy is by Jess Good Candy and out of Ole Auntie Em, by Dash Ta Fame
He has proven himself as a multiple stakes performer across his career. His latest Grade 1 triumph adds $58,298 to his earnings, improving his win record to eight of 35 starts with $240,181 in the bank.
