Nomination Payments Due February 9 For The 2026 New Mexico Breeders Futurity (RG3).

SUNRAY PARK, NM–FEBRUARY 3, 2026– The deadline is approaching for breeders and owners targeting one of New Mexico’s premier juvenile events.

Nominations for the 2026 New Mexico Breeders Futurity (RG3) at SunRay Park & Casino close Monday, February 9, 2026. To remain eligible, a $500 nominating payment per horse must be postmarked by that date.

The race is restricted to registered New Mexico-bred Quarter Horses and will be contested over 350 yards. Trials are scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, with the finals set for Saturday, May 23, 2026. The Futurity will offer $120,000 added, including funds from the New Mexico Horse Breeders Association.

Following the initial nomination, a $350 sustaining payment is due Tuesday, March 10, 2026, with trial entry fees of $1,275 due Friday, April 17, 2026. Total standard payments through trial entry equal $2,125 per horse.

There is no grace period for missed deadlines. Late payments are subject to increased fees, and failure to make a required payment will result in cancellation of the nomination.
