POCATELLO, ID, MARCH 29, 2026— Pocatello Downs has officially released its 2026 stakes schedule, outlining the dates and races for the upcoming Quarter Horse, Paint, and Appaloosa racing season.

The stakes schedule begins Sunday, May 12 with the Harold Pence Memorial Quarter Horse Sprint, the first open stakes event of the meet.

Championship races follow on May 19, led by the AQHA Adequan Derby Challenge and the Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Quarter Horse Futurity. Supporting races include the Spring Classic Futurity Consolation and the Quarter Horse Derby Consolation.

The May 26 card expands the stakes lineup with the Rocky Mountain Paint & Appaloosa Futurity and the Paint & Appaloosa Maturity, along with the Quarter Horse Maiden Frolic Consolation, Idaho Bred Overnight Futurity, and the Pocatello Sprint.

The meet concludes the summer meet Monday, May 27 with its strongest concentration of stakes. The Pocatello Downs Quarter Horse Championship and the Quarter Horse Maiden Frolic headline the card, supported by the Lynn Bowman Memorial Quarter Horse Filly & Mare Stakes and the Overnight Mixed Breed Futurity.

Pocatello Downs returns in the fall on Sunday, September 15 for its late-season stakes program, featuring the AQHA Juvenile Challenge Finals and the AQHA Distaff Finals, along with the Maiden Claiming Stakes and the Battle of the Breeds.
