The 46-day meet, which began January 12, concluded Saturday, March 28, anchored by the richest race of the season, the $431,400 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2), contested at 300 yards for accredited Louisiana-bred 2-year-olds.

Headlining the evening, MC Blue Cartel delivered a standout performance in the Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2), emerging victorious in Louisiana Downs’ richest race of the meet after qualifying as the fastest from the trials. The Carters Cartel filly covered the 300-yard distance with authority in a time of :15.363 under jockey Jorge Garcia.
