OQHRA Reminds Horsemen May 15 Payments Due For Black Gold, Mystery Races & Will Rogers Oaks

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 13, 2026– The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association would like to remind horsemen that sustaining payments for the Black Gold Championship Futurity & Fillies Futurity, Mystery Futurity & Mystery Derby, along with the Will Rogers Oaks are due on May 15.

The $540,000-estimated Black Gold Championship Futurity (RG2) is a 400-yard race for two-year-old colts and geldings of 2024. Trials will be held on November 1 with the final scheduled for November 17 at Will Rogers Downs. As of April 30, 97 horses remain eligible with an account balance of $270,000.

The $540,000-estimated Black Gold Championship Fillies Futurity (RG2) is a 400-yard race for two-year-old fillies of 2024. Trials are scheduled for November 2 with the final also set for November 17 at Will Rogers Downs. The race currently has 167 eligible horses with an account balance of $463,900 as of April 30.

The $175,000-estimated Mystery Futurity (RG2) is a 350-yard race for Accredited Oklahoma-bred two-year-olds of 2024. Trials will be contested September 14 with the final scheduled for September 28 at Will Rogers Downs. As of April 30, 85 horses remain eligible with an account balance of $78,700.

The $75,000-estimated Mystery Derby is a 350-yard race for Accredited Oklahoma-bred three-year-olds of 2023. Trials are scheduled for November 1 with the final on November 17 at Will Rogers Downs. The race currently has 31 eligible horses and an account balance of $28,300 as of April 30.

The 2026 Will Rogers Oaks is a $50,000-added race for three-year-old fillies of 2023 going 440 yards. Trials are scheduled for October 5 with the final set for October 19 at Will Rogers Downs. The race currently shows 46 eligible horses with an account balance of $24,000 as of April 30.

Recurring payments will be automatically deducted on the 15th of each month. If you need to drop your horse from a race or stop automatic deductions, notify OQHRA in writing five days prior to the payment due date.
