CYPRESS, CA—JUNE 13, 2027—After a very troubled career debut, Rosenthal Ranch’s ultra-highly anticipated colt Sixth Sense showcased his elite pedigree and immense talent on Saturday night at Los Alamitos, rebounding in spectacular fashion to clear a major hurdle in his young racing career.

The $730,000 Los Alamitos Equine Sale topper, who faced a rough trip and finished sixth in his May 30 debut, left no room for doubt this time around.

With talented  jockey Eduardo Nicasio aboard, the son of Favorite Cartel broke cleanly from the outside post, quickly established a half-length advantage, and powerfully pulled away from the field to win by an authoritative 1 1/4 lengths.

Sixth Sense stopped the clock in 15.595, registering the fastest time of the night among six 300-yard races.

"There's a lot of pressure when you have a horse that is so expensive and so well bred to succeed and do well," winning trainer Paul Jones said. "His first race, he couldn't have gotten wiped out any worse. A lot of times that's bad for a young horse in his first start. It makes them hesitant. They don't want to break and it scares them a little bit."

The outside draw on Saturday proved to be exactly what the exceptionally bred colt needed.  "When he drew the outside here tonight, we thought that was a great spot for him to get a good, clean trip," Jones explained. "I was a little worried that he would break out, but he didn't, and Nicasio did a wonderful job with him. The class came out. He's just a classy horse, and I'm happy for the horse and happy for Connie [Rosenthal] and for Eduardo. The whole team. It was nice to see the Burns family here."

Sixth Sense is a full brother to a staggering lineup of Grade 1 superstars, including 2025 Golden State Million Futurity winner Enforce, AQHA Champion Cyber Attack, Bomb Cyclone, Powerful Favorite, and Runforyourlife. Because Sixth Sense is a May foal, the connection's patient approach paid off in a big way on Saturday night.

"You know, we had to wait on the horse a little bit because he's a May baby," Jones added. "We had to take our time with him. I also want to mention the crew at the ranch did a great job breaking this horse and getting him ready for this."

With his maiden victory securely in the books and his elite class on full display, Sixth Sense has officially arrived on the big stage at Los Alamitos.
