BOSSIER CITY, LA--MARCH 25, 2025
--Two-year-olds are in the spotlight Saturday at Louisiana Downs, as the track presents a pair of graded futurities for juveniles.

The meet's richest race -- the 300-yard, $399,104 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) -- has drawn a full field of 10 Louisiana-bred 2-year-olds. Mamma Im Leaving You, a daughter of multiple stakes sire Coronas Leaving You and the fastest overall qualifier from 14 trials contested March 8-9, made her career debut with a half-length victory as the 3-2 favorite in her trial. A $33,000 purchase at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale, the filly is trained by Jose R. Espinosa for owner Jeantile M. Deville.

Mamma Im Leaving You drew post 9 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.

Jaccx Sizzle, the 3-1 morning-line favorite, made his debut with a 1 1/4-length win in his trial. The gelded son of champion Carters Cartel races for AGMD Investments Inc. and trainer Jose R. Espinosa.

Jaccx Sizzle is the third-fastest qualifier. The gelding drew post 7 and will be ridden by Arturo Alvarez.

Also on Saturday, a full field of 10 open juveniles are entered back in the 300-yard, 346,566 Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2).

Refugio Alvarado's Di KVN Waven is the fastest qualifier from her one-length victory in the last of seven trials run March 6. A $24,000 buy at last year's TQHA Yearling Sale in San Antonio, the daughter of champion Kvn Corona is trained by Carlos Camarena.

Di KVN Waven drew post 6 and will be ridden by Oliver Martinez.

Coronados Imagine was the most visually impressive of the trial winners, as the son of Coronado Cartel won his Louisiana Downs Futurity trial by a clear 2 1/2 lengths. Saul Ramirez trains the brown gelding for owner Jose A. Ramos.

Coronados Imagine was a $13,500 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. The gelding drew post 8 and will be ridden by Claudio Aguilar.
