SUNLAND PARK, NM–MARCH 26, 2025–RC Corona King will put his three-race win streak on the line in Sunday's 400-yard, $65,000-added West Texas Maturity (G3) at Sunland Park.

A 5-year-old son of Eye Am King trained by Gerardo Quinonez for owner Jose R. Riojas, RC Corona King began his season with a three-quarter length victory in the January 12, 400-yard Red Or Green Stakes RG2 for New Mexico-breds at Sunland Park. The sorrel gelding is the fastest qualifier from two trials run March 9.

RC Corona King drew post 4 and will be ridden by Sergio Dominguez. The gelding's seven opponents include KJ Wild Thang, a homebred 6-year-old Apollitical Jess gelding racing for John Lee, Kathy Lee, and Ruben Mares. KJ Wild Thang is coming off of a 5-year-old campaign during which he scored a half-length victory in the 440-yard, $125,000 Zia Park Championship on December 15.

KJ Wild Thang drew post 8 and will be ridden by Christian Ramos for trainer Wes Giles.
