Ten State-Bred Sophomores Entered in New Mexico Breeders' Stakes

FARMINGTON, NM–APRIL 14, 2025–Multiple graded stakes winner Pavel and graded stakes winner Easily Bella CSJ are two of the 10 state-bred 3-year-olds entered in Friday's 400-yard, $81,000 New Mexico Breeders' Stakes (RG3) at SunRay Park.

A $6,000 yearling purchased at the 2023 New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs, Pavel is owned and trained by Jorge Luis Sanchez Jr. The gelded son of the Corona Cartel stallion Czar Cartel MV has won two graded stakes and has earned $339,730 from nine outs, and his two wins in two races at SunRay Park include last year's 350-yard, $234,000 New Mexico Breeders' Futurity (RG3).

Pavel drew post 2 and will be ridden by Luis Martinez.

Easily Bella CSJ will be stretching out in distance off of her head victory in the March 2, 350-yard Sunburst Stakes (RG3).for New Mexico-bred sophomore fillies at Sunland Park. Julian Honesto trains the sorrel daughter of the One Famous Eagle stallion Bella Faccia for owner Christian Dominguez Olivas.

Easily Bella CSJ drew post 7 and will be ridden by Jacob Enriquez.
