Patty Wagon Train headlines the Mother's Day Stakes on Saturday at Delta Downs.

VINTON, LA—MAY 10, 2025—A field of nine fillies and mares are entered in the 350-yard $25,000 Mother's Day Stakes scheduled for Saturday evening at Delta Downs.

Patty Wagon Train, a veteran mare sired by Bp Wagon Train, is the morning line favorite following a strong performance, which includes a recent win in the Billy Montgomery Stakes.

Patty Wagon Train is racing for owner John T. Sargent, conditioned by Orlando Orozco and ridden by Ubaldo Luna from post eight. The three-time stakes winner has earned eight lifetime victories and $186,310 from 25 starts.

The second pick in the field is Apolitical Queen, who ran second to Patty Wagon Train in the Billy Montgomery Stakes by half a length after being bumped. The five-year-old daughter of Apollitical Blood is owned by Wilson One Consulting LLC and is conditioned by Trey Ellis. She will by ridden by Juan F. Garcia, Jr. from post five.
