MEXICO CITY, MEX– JUNE 27, 2025–This Sunday, the 22nd running of the $240,000 Garanones Futurity-RG2 will showcase some of the best two-year-olds bred in Mexico. Race 10, the final event on the card, features a standout duo from Cuadra San Martin—Rey De Manny and Payasa De Manny—who are the two morning-line favorites in the 300-yard dash, having recorded the top two times in the trials.

Rey De Manny, the 2-1 morning-line favorite, arrives undefeated in three career starts and brimming with momentum. Trained by Ashley Cirilo and ridden by Nestor Duran, he was the fastest qualifier, posting a dominant three-length trial win on June 7. Earlier this spring, he stamped himself as a major player when he captured the Mexico Futurity on April 13, and now boasts earnings of $62,000.

Bred in Mexico by Abelardo Gallegos, Rey De Manny is out of Jess Blazin Queen, a daughter of Jesse James Jr. Owned by Cuadra San Martin, the son of Krash Cartel stands as the horse to beat in Sunday’s headliner.

Stablemate Payasa De Manny, the 5-2 second favorite, will break just to the outside of Rey De Manny and brings her own strong credentials into the final. Trained by Luis Cruz and ridden by Alejandro Gómez, the gray filly finished third in the Mexico Futurity on April 13, holding her own in stakes company.

She followed that performance with a sharp gate-to-wire trial victory, clocking the second fastest time of the qualifiers in her trial heat. The daughter of Krash Cartel has earned $22,600 across four starts. Also bred by Abelardo Gallegos and campaigned by Cuadra San Martin, Payasa De Manny is out of Coconut Crystal, by Separatist.

Race 9 on the card, the $19,500 Garanones Futurity Consolation will spotlight the next tier of emerging juveniles who just missed qualifying for the Futurity final.

Leading that field is Mr Do Chicks, the 5-2 morning-line favorite who has been remarkably consistent. Bred by Abelardo Gallegos and owned by Granja La Esperanza, Mr Do Chicks has a record of 1-1-1 and earnings of $13,650 from four starts.

Trained by Juan Jose Razo and ridden by Osvaldo Cervantes, the gelded son of Mr Chiks Perry out of Doyouknowhoiam, by First Down Dash, has placed in every start except one—a fourth-place finish in the Mexico Futurity.

Vicky Krash, installed at 3-1 on the morning line, is the second favorite in the Consolation and is another who brings a strong resume. With two wins from four starts and earnings of $8,800, she is a well-bred filly by Krash Cartel out of U R My Queen, a daughter of Walk Thru Fire.

Bred by Abelardo Gallegos Fernandez, she is trained by Angel Magdaleno for Cuadra Las Vegas and will be guided by Alejandro Gómez López. Vicky Krash has hit the board in every career effort and most recently finished second behind Rey De Manny in the Futurity Trials.
