OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–April 22, 2026—Remington Park lights up Friday night with a vibrant 12-race program dedicated to the speed, talent, and color of Paints and Appaloosas, as three major stakes headline an action-packed evening. The inaugural Grade 3 $31,700 Remington Park Appaloosa Futurity, the Grade 2 $20,000 Victoria Ennis Memorial Stakes, and the marquee Grade 1 $115,300 PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity promise a night filled with rising stars and unforgettable performances. The first post is set for approximately 6:00 PM, with anticipation building toward a powerful finale.
The spotlight shines brightest in the final race of the evening, the 330-yard Grade 1 $115,300 PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity, where ten elite juveniles return from the April 9 trials, all chasing the richest prize of the year for Paint runners.
Big Rotney stands tall as the 8-5 morning-line favorite after delivering a commanding trial victory and securing the second-fastest qualifying time. The fan-favorite gelding has been nothing short of sensational, from an eye-catching schooling race to capturing the Grade 1 $188,500 Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity earlier this meet. With three wins and $82,730 in earnings for owners Apple R Racing.
The Painted Turnpike gelding continues to elevate expectations. Bred and trained by Matt Whitekiller, Big Rotney breaks from post five with leading APHA rider Cody R. Smith in the irons, aiming to add another major title to his growing résumé.
Game Favorite looms as a serious challenger at 5-2 odds after posting the fastest qualifying time in the trials with an impressive one-and-three-quarter-length victory. The gelding, a homebred for Jeff Adams, seeks redemption after a troubled start in the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity final.
Trained by Dee Keener and ridden by Roman Cruz, Game Favorite breaks from post three and brings both speed and determination into the championship showdown. With talent spread across the field, the final promises a thrilling dash where fractions of a second will separate victory from defeat.
Earlier in the card, the eighth race introduces a historic moment with the inaugural running of the 250-yard Grade 3 $31,700 Remington Park Appaloosa Futurity. Ten of the fastest Appaloosa juveniles compete from the April 9 trials.
Led by Knockouts Eyes, the 5-2 morning-line favorite. The filly set the fastest qualifying time after winning her trial and has shown steady progression in her brief career. Owned by Wishbone Partnership and trained by Dee Keener, she will break from post five under Mario Delgado.
Stablemate R Tyme Wil Tell, drawn outside in post ten at 3-1 odds, nearly matched her in the trials and adds further intrigue to a competitive and evenly matched field. This inaugural event sets the stage for a new chapter at Remington Park, one that these young runners will forever be part of.
The ninth race features the Grade 2 $20,000 Victoria Ennis Memorial Stakes at 330 yards, showcasing another talented group of Paint and Appaloosa juveniles.
Dw Showin D Off headlines the field as the 9-5 morning-line favorite from the outside post. The colt captured his trial for the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity before finishing a strong third in the final, proving his ability against top-tier company. Owned and bred by Danny J. Watkins and trained by Dee Keener, he will again be guided by Roman Cruz as he looks to deliver another standout performance.
From start to finish, Friday night at Remington Park is a celebration of speed, color, and rising talent. With championship futures on the line and history being made, fans can expect a night filled with energy, emotion, and unforgettable finishes as these Paint and Appaloosa athletes leave everything on the track.
