MEXICO CITY, MEX–April 23, 2026—The Sunday program at Hipódromo de las Américas features a full 12-race card, highlighted by the $32,000 Prize Classic, where the ten fastest two-year-old qualifiers from the April 5 trial heats return to battle over 300 yards.
Leading the field is the fastest qualifier, Already Favorite, listed at 5-2 on the morning line. The colt delivered a strong performance in the second of two trials, drawing off to defeat Cv Star Spirit by a length and a half while posting the quickest time of the day in his career debut. With that effort, he enters the final as the one to beat, carrying both speed and expectation into the spotlight.
Already Favorite races for Cuadra Los Chivos, who secured him for $30,000 at the 2025 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Bred in the United States by Grant Farms, LLC, he is sired by Favorite Cartel and out of Shes Already Famous, a daughter of Mr Jess Perry. Trainer Luis Nieto will saddle the rising prospect from post five, with jockey Miguel Angel Rodriguez named to ride.
A competitive group of nine juveniles is set to load into the gate at approximately 20:00, each aiming to take a step forward on the big stage. With early speed expected across the field and little margin for error at 300 yards, the Prize Classic shapes up as a fast and decisive test for this promising group of young runners.
