TULSA, OK–JULY 14, 2026–After severe weather forced the cancellation of races three through ten last Saturday, Fair Meadows will officially conclude its summer meet on Sunday, July 19. However, the marquee stakes program remains intact on Saturday evening. Fans will be treated to a spectacular night of Quarter Horse, Paint, and Appaloosa racing, with a 10-race card beginning at 6:00 p.m. The card is highlighted by seven stakes events, led by the Grade 3 $85,000-added Speedhorse Quarter Horse Futurity, the $25,000-added Speedhorse Quarter Horse Derby, and the Grade 1 $40,000-added Speedhorse Paint and Appaloosa Futurity. Also featured on the card are the $25,000 Cherokee Nation Stakes, $25,000 Rocky Heinzig Stakes, Grade 2 $20,000 Masterpiece Derby, and the $20,000 Speedhorse Paint and Appaloosa Juvenile Stakes, making it one of the strongest programs of the Fair Meadows season.

The featured Grade 3 $85,000-added Speedhorse Quarter Horse Futurity headlines the tenth race at approximately 9:45 p.m., with the ten fastest qualifiers from the July 3 trial heats competing over 350 yards.

Jt Midlife Crisis tops the field as the 2-1 morning-line favorite after a dominant trial performance. Despite breaking inward at the start, the gelding quickly recovered, drew away by 2¼ lengths, and posted the fastest qualifying time. The Oklahoma homebred has won three of four career starts, including a maiden victory at Remington Park and an allowance score, before his impressive trial effort. He has earned $39,317.

Bred, owned, and trained by Jeffrey Allen Tyer, the son of Tell Cartel is out of the Real Visions mare Wranglers Vision. He will break from post two, with Roman Cruz aboard.

Breaking from the rail is Whiskey Doc, the 3-1 second choice on the morning line. The gelding captured his trial by three-quarters of a length after dueling throughout, then edged clear to secure the second-fastest qualifying time. Already proven against top company, he finished second in the Restricted Grade 2 Easy Jet Stakes, third in the Restricted Grade 3 Laico Bird Stakes, and fourth in the Grade 2 Oklahoma Futurity. With two wins from five starts, he has banked $69,933.

The Oklahoma homebred is owned by Dusty Rose Ranch, LLC and is sired by Docs Dusty Cartel, out of the Tac It Like a Man mare Jls Tacitlikejohn. Stacey L. Capps trains the gelding, who will be ridden by Cody R. Smith.

One race earlier, the ninth race at approximately 9:20 p.m. features the $25,000-added Speedhorse Quarter Horse Derby, with the ten fastest sophomores from the July 2 trial heats returning for the 350-yard final.

Wera C has been installed as the 8-5 morning-line favorite after a powerful gate-to-wire win in her trial by 1½ lengths, recording the fastest qualifying time. The remarkably consistent daughter of Flying Cowboy 123 has never finished worse than third in ten career starts, with four wins, five runner-up finishes, and one third, earning $180,117. Earlier this season, she finished second in the Grade 2 Heritage Place Oaks before turning her attention to the Speedhorse Derby.

Owned by CH Horse Racing, LLC, which purchased her for $73,000 at the TQHA Yearling Sale, the Texas-bred filly was bred by Ellis H. Hank Bird from the One Dashing Eagle mare Pillow Talk. Marco Adair Chavez-Gutierrez trains the talented filly, who will break from post six with Jonathan Dominguez aboard.

Earlier on the program, the sixth race, at approximately 8:05 p.m., showcases the Grade 1 $40,000-added Speedhorse Paint and Appaloosa Futurity, featuring the ten fastest Paint and Appaloosa juveniles from the July 2 trials.

Chilinator enters as the 5-2 morning-line favorite after a spirited duel to win her trial by half a length, setting the fastest qualifying time. The gray filly has already established herself among the division's elite, finishing second in the opening leg of the Grade 1 Speedhorse Graham Paint and Appaloosa Futurity at Remington Park and fourth in the Grade 1 Oklahoma Paint and Appaloosa Futurity. She has earned $58,869 in five career starts.

Owned by Amy and Brent Page, the Wyoming-bred daughter of Chilitos is out of the Sixes Royal mare Sparklin Royal and was bred by Ron Lyles. Matt Whitekiller sends her out from post nine, with Cody R. Smith aboard.

With championship-caliber fields assembled for seven stakes races, Saturday's program promises an exciting conclusion to Fair Meadows' stakes schedule. Although the weather altered the closing weekend, the spotlight remains firmly on the talented juveniles and sophomores competing for prestigious titles in the Speedhorse Futurity, Derby, and Paint and Appaloosa Futurity. Racing fans can also look forward to a strong supporting stakes lineup before the Fair Meadows summer meet officially concludes on Sunday, July 19.
