THACKERVILLE, OK–NOVEMBER 2, 2024–Red River Equine announced today that they will offer ICSI contracts on Trane Station V for the 2025 breeding season. The fee has been set at $7,500.
Trane Station V holds an impressive resume during his two-year-old race career. The #1 leading money earner in 2023 with $1,754,152 in the bank has six wins and three seconds from nine starts.
He was dominant in his California stay last year. From his last four starts, Trane Station V won the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity and Grade 1 Golden State Million Futurity while also winning the trials to each of those races. In the process of going undefeated in those four starts, Trane Station V became the first runner to win both of those futurities after posting the fastest qualifying time to each.
At the beginning of his freshman campaign, Trane Station V placed second in the Grade 1 All American Futurity and Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity.
He took home the AQHA Champion two-year-old colt honors for his 2023 efforts.
In addition, Trane Station V was named the 2023 Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Racing Association Horse of the Year and champion 2-year-old colt. He became the first two-year-old to be named PCQHRA Horse of the Year since J Fire Up in 2017.
Bred by Dr. Steve Burns, Trane Station V was also the PCQHRA California-Bred Horse of the Year by money earned and California-Bred champion 2-year-old colt by money earned.
Trane Station V's sire, Favorite Cartel, won the Three Bars Award for top stallion for the seventh time in 2023, while his dam, Attack The Cartel, won the James V.A. Carter Award for top broodmare for the first time in her career.
His sire, Favorite Cartel, is the industry's #1 leading sire of money earners in 2024, with over $8 million in progeny earnings from this year alone. His lifetime money earners total over $52 million, with seven champions, 259 black-type earners, and $41,000 average earnings per starter.
Favorite Cartel has sired six millionaires, with Trane Station V being his top money-earning colt. The other top five millionaires include this year's Triple Crown winner Hezgothelook Z SI 99 ($2,358,300), Cyber Attack SI 101 ($1,721,346, 3-time AQHA Champion), Bomb Cyclone SI 104 ($1,446,063), Powerful Favorite SI 106 ($1,226,875, 3-Time AQHA Supreme Race Horse), Sicario V SI 97 ($1,051,398)
Trane Station V is a full brother to Grade 3 winner Rumor Goin Round ($159,633) and half-brother to stakes winners On Our Way SI 95 ($93,294) and Attack The Wind SI 103 ($78,335).
His dam Attack The Cartel SI 92 is a stakes winning daughter of Corona Cartel with earnings of $49,990. She is a half-sister Grade 2 winner Pitbull SI 94 ($178,770), stakes winner and NTR setter Southwesterly SI 109 (2024, $79,664) and Grade 3 placed Tac Out SI 91 ($65,425).
Trane Station V's second dam is Grade 1 Rainbow Derby runner-up Separate Tac SI 100 ($86,527), a full sister to Oklahoma Hi-Point Three-Year-Old Gelding Famousist SI 101 ($85,142) and half-sister to Calirofrna Hi-Point three-Year-Old Gelding I Ought To Be First Si 100 ($108,305).
