The Arizona Quarter Racing Association is accepting stallion donations for the upcoming Stallion Service Auction.

PHOENIX, AZ—NOVEMBER 4, 2024—The Arizona Quarter Horse Racing Association will once again hold its annual Stallion Service Auction online to reach the most buyers nationwide.

AQRA Stallion Service Auction bidding begins on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and runs through Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 7:00 pm (MST).

"We would like to extend a special thank you to all the stallion owners, managers, and farms who continue to donate breedings and support the AQRA," said Krystal Bourdieu, AQRA Secretary.

All 2026 foals by stallions sold or repurchased will be eligible for the 2028 Desert Classic Futurity and subsequent Derby to be run in Arizona.

AQRA guarantees that a minimum of 50% of the stallion auction proceeds will be added to the Desert Classic Stakes Program. The remaining proceeds will be used to support AQRA programs, including scholarships, purse enhancement, and promotional efforts to increase Quarter Horse racing opportunities

We ask that you consider our program when making decisions regarding your stallion service donations for 2025. For your convenience and as an added incentive to buyers, the AQRA PAYS all farm fees up to $500.00 declared on the stallion contract. Please consider this when setting your farm fee and minimum bid.
