First-year-sire Uncle D surpasses the $1 Million Mark

GUTHRIE, OK–NOVEMBER 13, 2024–Two-time champion and Grade 1 sire Uncle D crosses the $1 Million dollar threshold as the nation’s #2 leading first-year-sire.

His top performer, Grade 1 Remington Park OK Bred Futurity winner Heavens Uncle ($443,729), placed second in the Black Gold Futurity Championship-RG3 on November 12. His $61,007 payday boosted Uncle D into the "Millionaire Sires Club."

From his first crop to race, Uncle D has sired 21 winners with earnings of $1.1 Million and average earnings per starter of nearly $21,000.

Uncle D’s other stakes winners include Grade 3 FL Lady Bug Stakes winner Anna Belle ($89,036) and Northlands Juvenile Winner I D Claire ($22,155). His stakes-placed winners include Runninagainstdwind ($36,465), Curlie D ($34,859) and Delightful D ($10,555).

His top stakes finalists include Lady D ($40,563, fnl. Dash For Cash Futurity-G2), Ruth D ($35,423, 4th FL Lady Bug Stakes-G3, 4th Laico Bird Stakes) and D Fawn ($31,533, fnl PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-G2).

Uncle D, a son of leading sire Corona Cartel, won or placed in nine of 10 career starts and earned $689,165. He was named 2019 AQHA Racing's Champion 2-Year-Old and 2-Year-Old Colt after winning the Rainbow Futurity(G1), All American Juvenile and finishing second in the Heritage Place Futurity(G1).
