Royally Bred Son of Triple Crown Winner Special Effort To Kansas In 2025

LAWERENCE, KS–DECEMBER 4, 2024–Sizziling Effort, a royally bred son of Triple Crown Winner and former leading sire Special Effort, will begin his stallion career in 2025 at Kansas Center For Equine Reproduction in Lawerence. His fee has been set at $1,000.

Owned by Oswaldo Simental, Sizziling Effort sustained a career-ending injury in his only start at 3.

His sire, world champion Special Effort SI 104 ($1,219,949), was the first Ruidoso Triple Crown-winning 2-year-old in 1981. He won the All American Futurity, Rainbow Futurity, and Kansas Futurity (now Ruidoso Futurity). From 28 crops to reach racing age, Special Effort has sired 75 stakes winners, 6 champions, 908 winners, and earned nearly $19 million in the USA.
