First-Crop Stallion Dulce Sin Tacha Sires First Stakes Winner

GUTHRIE, OK–APRIL 5, 2025–Lazy E Ranch's first-crop sire, two-time champion Dulce Sin Tacha, continued building on his legacy today when his son Preying N Sinning became his first stakes winner.

The Juvenile colt owned by Alberto Amparan and 93 Ranch won the $50,000 guaranteed West Texas Juvenile at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. Preying N Sinning put in a late run under jockey Christian Cardenas to get his first career win in two starts. He completed the 300-yard task in 15.343 seconds, an 87-speed index into a 13 mph crosswind.

Bred in Texas by Dr. Steve Hurlbert, Preying N Sinning was also the second stakes winner for his dam Prey, a daughter of Panther Mountain.

Amparan also trains the $15,000 Heritage Place September Yearling Sale graduate. Preying N Sinning is a half-brother to Grade 1 AQHA Distaff Challenge Championship winner Preyn Onthe Mountain.

Preying N Sinning earned $23,500 to boost his earnings to $25,280. He finished second in his career debut, a West Texas Futurity trial on March 16.

Owned by Bob and Jerry Gaston, Dulce Sin Tacha won eight of 11 career starts include the Texas Classic Futurity(G1 and All American Quarter Horse Invitational Stakes, and was second in the Rainbow Derby(G1), and All American Juvenile S.

Named the AQHA Racing Champion 2-year-old colt and 3-year-old colt of 2020 and 2021, the son of champion Jess Good Candy from the Tempting Dash mare Prissy Sin Tacha has earned $693,689.

Saturday was a big day for the young stallion who also sired the fastest qualifier on day 2 of the $868,455 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity(RG1) and the fastest qualifier for $95,866 Beehive Futurity at Weber Downs.

Jamies Sin Tacha, an altered son of Dulce Sin Tacha posted a 16.484 clocking, equaling a 99 speed index to get the top time in the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity trials. Christian Cardenas had the riding call for trainer James Gonzales III.  Miguel Vargas purchased the colt for $15,000 at Heritage Place September Yearling Sale. Monty McNair bred him from the Ivory James mare Specials Jamie.

Jr Calendar Girl, a filly out of Forst Cartel Eagle by One Famous Eagle, races to the fastest Beehive time from six trials contested. Saddled by trainer Kylie Valenzuela the J R Stables Nevada home-bred clocked 15.455 seconds, a 101 speed index for 300 yards.

From 25 starters, Dulce Sin Tacha has sired nine winners, 1 stakes winner and earners of $127,562 through Saturday, April 5.
