LUTHER, OK—SEPTEMBER 19, 2025—Multiple stakes winner and sire Jettastic passed away Thursday, September 18, following a tragic accident. He is owned by Chris and Lauren Walters of 4W Farms, LLC in Luther, Oklahoma.
“It is with great sadness that we have to announce that our amazing sire, friend, and foundation Jettastic had to be let go yesterday due to a tragic accident,” said Lauren Walters.
Jettastic was a multiple stakes-winning son of Jet Black Patriot. He recorded a 105 speed index and was a proven force at 300, 350, 400, and 440 yards. Known for his explosive gate speed, he competed with consistency and determination.
On the racetrack, Jettastic won or placed in 13 starts while earning $193,472. His victories included the Indiana Grand QHRAI Derby, the QHRAI Derby, and the Alex Picov Memorial Championship. He also finished third in the Indiana Championship Stakes and was a finalist in the Sam Houston Classic (G2). In 2014, he earned the Central Hi-Point Three-Year-Old Colt title.
“Jett” was described by his owners as a strong-willed stallion with an exceptional disposition. “He helped us build what we have today with friends and family in this industry,” Lauren stated.
Jettastic was a sire of winners both on the racetrack and in the barrel arena. From a limited number of starters, he sired stakes qualifiers and high-level barrel performers, earning a reputation as a proven 1D barrel sire in juvenile futurity and open classes.
His owners added, “We all have a difference in opinion, but horses are one thing we come back to. They bring us back to humanity. They build us up and, unfortunately, at times, leave us crashing down.”
Jettastic’s sire, Jet Black Patriot SI 110 ($876,921), won the Louisiana QHBA Futurity (RG1) and was runner-up in the All American Futurity (G1). From 14 crops of racing age, Jet Black Patriot has sired 32 stakes winners with combined earnings exceeding $21.4 million. His top runners include San Lorenzo Jet SI 102 ($1,005,939), Jet Black Grace SI 103 ($774,627), You Drive I Fly SI 98 ($590,134), Jet Black Rogue SI 103 ($453,101), Cool Ya Jets SI 92 ($280,438), Jetblack Gold Moment SI 109 ($277,670), First Prize Jet SI 98 ($275,858), and Louisiana Jambalaya SI 99 ($266,346).
Jettastic’s dam is the stakes-producing Man Sheza Fast SI 110, by Heza Fast Man. She equaled the Rillito Park 440-yard track record in 21.620 seconds.
His second dam is Special Te SI 95, a daughter of Special Effort, who produced multiple Grade 3 winner Specialti Dash ($66,900) and Grade 2 finalist Queencreekspecial SI 91 ($13,981).
His third dam is the multiple stakes-producing Missy Te, by Azure Te (TB), dam of Buzz Te SI 98 ($48,235) and Sumpin Silly SI 92 ($26,556).
“We will remember the greatness of this horse and be forever grateful for the sacrifices that he made to help us be better and allow us to do what we love. Thanks to all for your prayers and condolences. God bless,” Lauren concluded.
