LQHBA Stallion Service Auction Set To Open December 5, Benefiting Youth Scholarship Fund

By StallioneSearch

ALEXANDRIA, LA—NOVEMBER 29, 2025—The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association (LQHBA) will open its annual Stallion Service Auction on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. (CST), offering breeders the chance to bid on stallion services while supporting the association’s long-running Youth Scholarship Program.

The auction will close on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (CST).

All proceeds—after farm or chute fees—directly benefit LQHBA’s scholarship fund, which has generated over $850,000 for Louisiana youth since its inception in 2001.

"This auction not only strengthens our breeding industry but also changes lives," LQHBA assistant executive director Misty Coats noted. "It is an accomplishment we can all be proud of."

Bidders must create a new account each year, confirm registration via email, and are encouraged to check spam folders for activation links. Minimum bids include any farm or chute fees unless otherwise noted.

The auction features secure SSL encryption and PCI-compliant credit-card processing through Stripe. Stallion services will sell to the highest bidder, with automatic five-minute extensions applied to any bid placed in the final minutes. Winning bidders will be notified within 24 hours, and payments will be processed within 48 hours.

Breeders are reminded that semen collection, shipping, mare care, and all veterinary or farm-related expenses are not included in the winning bid and must be arranged directly with stallion owners. Breeding(s) must be used during the 2026 breeding season.

Stallion services that do not receive an opening bid will be offered afterward on a first-come, first-served basis for the minimum bid plus $100.
