OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–FEBRUARY 25, 2026– Breeder Robert Moody III was awarded the $100,000 Eagles Fly Higher bonus from Dan Darling of Darling Farms and Valeriano Racing Stables LLC.

The Moody-bred Eagle On A June Bug closed out 2025 with $256,456 in earnings, leading all first-crop runners by AQHA Champion Eagles Fly Higher.

At the outset of the 2025 season, the stallion’s first crop — foals of 2023 — were eligible for a $100,000 incentive. The bonus was designated for the breeder of record of the highest-earning Eagles Fly Higher 2-year-old at year’s end.

Eagle On A June Bug answered the challenge. The gelding finished second in the Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2) at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, Louisiana, and was also runner-up in the TQHA Sale Futurity (G1) at Retama Park in Selma, Texas during his freshman campaign.

He later qualified to the $1 million Texas Classic Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park, where he finished fifth for owners Enrique Santollo and Sergio Jiminez and trainer H. Javier Hernandez.

Out of the Blushing Bug mare Sandy June Bug, Eagle On A June Bug won four of seven starts in 2025, compiling a consistent and productive 2-year-old season.

The incentive program is continuing for the upcoming season, offering another $100,000 bonus to the breeder of the highest-earning Eagles Fly Higher from the 2024 foal crop set to race in 2026.

Eagles Fly Higher stands at the Louisiana Center for Equine Reproduction in Opelousas, Louisiana. He retired in 2021 with earnings of $623,821 and is backed by a black-type-rich family that includes Champion of Champions winner and multiple stakes sire The Down Side SI 107 ($361,792) and Kindergarten Futurity (G1) winner Rev It Up SI 98 ($277,078).

On the racetrack, Eagles Fly Higher won or placed in 20 races and remained sound through five seasons of competition. His victories included the Sooner State Stakes (RG1), Mr. Jet Moore Stakes (G2), two editions of the Eastex Stakes (G2), the Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge (G2), and the Remington Park Juvenile.

He finished second in the Texas Classic Futurity (G1), Downs at Albuquerque Championship H. (G1), and Canterbury Park Championship Challenge (G3). He was third in the AQHA Challenge Championship (G1), Mighty Deck Three Stakes (G2), and Town Policy Stakes.

He was also a finalist in the Refrigerator Invitational Championship (G1), Debbie Schauf Remington Park Invitational Championship (G1), Vessels Maturity (G1), and Robert L. Boniface Invitational Championship (G1).
