Cyber Monday Continues Strong Start to 2026 With West Texas Futurity-G2 Qualifier

Cyber Monday Continues Strong Start to 2026 With West Texas Futurity-G2 Qualifier

GUTHRIE–MARCH 13, 2026–Second-crop sire Cyber Monday kicked off the 2026 season last weekend with four stakes qualifiers and kept the momentum rolling this Friday, March 13 when he sired another qualifier to the Grade 2 $335,000 West Texas Futurity at Sunland Park.

The second-fastest qualifier, Tater Hill Senator, captured the seventh trial with a 1 1/2-length wire-to-wire victory. Ridden by Jacob Enriquez, he stopped the timer in :15.078 for a 97 speed index.

Bred by Wootan Racing, Tater Hill Senator is out of the stakes-placed Louisiana Senator mare Shaw Island Senator ($58,641), who is a half-sister to Kathys Star Teller ($23,101). The third dam is graded stakes winner Kathys Star Quest ($415,048), a full sister to stakes-placed runner Memories On The Run ($84,375).

Tater Hill Senator is owned by Haskell and Jacque Rich. The $40,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate is trained by Clinton Crawford.

Last weekend Cm Jessa Blue Monday qualified to the $450,000-estimated Los Alamitos Oaks (G1) after posting a :20.070 trial victory under jockey Ruben Lozano. Trained by Luke Lindsey for owner-breeder Randy Dickerson, the three-year-old filly is out of Cool Blue Corona by Jess Louisiana Blue and now owns two wins from five starts heading into the March 28 final.

Chin Up Buttercup also earned her first career victory last weekend, going gate to wire and drawing off by three lengths under jockey Roman Cruz to qualify for the $435,395 Oklahoma Futurity (G2) final on March 21. The bay filly is trained by Dee Keener and bred and owned by Kelly Yother Equine, LLC. She is out of the Tres Seis mare Wind Me Up Buttercup.

On March 7, Lethal Monday clocked the second-fastest time from two days of trials to the Oklahoma Juvenile at Remington Park. Bred by Canadian River QH LLC, the filly is out of Lethal Perry by Mr Jess Perry and is trained by Trey Wood for owner Dale Alan Doby.

On Monday, March 9, Chillaxxin advanced to the AQRA President’s Open Spring Derby and will start in the finals on March 30. The three-year-old gelding was ridden by Gabriel Medrano for trainer Carlos Flores and was bred by Butch and Stephanie Webb. He is out of Reina Madre by Apollitical Jess.

Cyber Monday’s first crop made an immediate impact in 2025, siring more than $1 million in earnings with nearly $17,000 average earnings per starter.

That crop already includes six black-type runners, with his top money earners including Cyber Courage SI 93 ($130,624, 2nd Desert Classic Derby), Entice Me Ona Monday SI 103 ($92,261), Cyber Command III SI 93 ($87,303), Atsi Monday SI 90 ($73,616, 2nd Valley Junction Futurity-G3), Cyber Sass SI 95 ($65,152, 2nd EVD Futurity-G2) and Run On Monday SI 96 ($54,200).
