ROSWELL, NM–APRIL 6, 2026–Uncle D is the only stallion represented across all four Oklahoma-Bred stakes at Remington Park this weekend, with at least one qualifier advancing to each final.
In the biggest event, the $971,955 Remington Park Futurity-RG1, two runners advanced out of the trials into the finals. D Molish, owned by Cox, Shania, James, Tiffany and Kyle James, was bred in Oklahoma by Jordan Wiggins and is trained by Samuel E. Valdivia. Ridden by Bryan Candanosa, he came from the fastest of 24 trials, finishing second to top qualifier Whatdyathinkofmenow while stopping the clock in :16.738.
Also qualifying was Bv So Long, a filly owned by Jose Angel Salamanca-Solis and bred in Oklahoma by Bella Vista Farms LLC. Trained by Guillermo Valdivia and ridden by Rolando Raudales, she delivered one of the most dominant efforts of the first day of trial rounds, drawing away to win by three lengths in :16.858.
In the $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile, D Amor posted the fastest qualifying time of :16.797. Owned by Robyn Gordon and Greg S. Johnston and bred in Oklahoma by Cavenaugh Quarter Horses LLC, he is trained by Kasey Willis and ridden by Gonzalo Gutierrez.
He won his trial by a nose in the eleventh race of the night, but his effort came with some tough luck—his time would have been strong enough to make the Remington Park Futurity-G1 final, only to be pushed out of that race when D Molish qualified in the following trial.
Wf Uncle D’s influence carries into the older divisions as well. Wf Tuff as Diamonds moves into the $217,910 Remington Park Derby-G1 for owner, breeder and trainer Haley N. Hobbs. The gelding, ridden by Fernando Fonseca-Soto, emerged from the fastest trial of the night, finishing third behind fastest qualifier Jc Speeding and Js Fdd in :19.509.
D Sixy Girl secured her place in the $182,720 Remington Park Oaks-G3 for owner and breeder Cavenaugh Quarter Horses LLC. Trained by Clinton Crawford and ridden by Edwin G. Escobedo, she qualified with a second-place finish in her trial, clocking :19.985.
To have representation in the Futurity, Juvenile, Derby and Oaks on the same weekend is uncommon, particularly for a stallion still early in his career.
Uncle D has quickly established himself as a national leading sire from every crop to race and is currently the leading third-crop sire in New Mexico. He has sired nearly $3 million in progeny earnings $22,000 average per starter.
That resume is supported with five six-figure earners led by Heavens Uncle SI 106 ($508,399), winner of the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity-RG1 and the Bob Moore Memorial Stakes-G2. Uncle Redheads SI 94 ($183,472) captured the Valley Junction Futurity-G3 and Runninagaindstwind SI 106 ($149,021) won the QHRAI Derby. D Fawn SI 96 ($107,813) was a finalist in the PQQHRA Breeders Futurity-G2 and Curlie D SI 94 ($107,582) finished second in the Northlands Futurity and third in the Valley Junction Juvenile Stakes.
