OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–APRIL 29, 2026–Cyber Monday is doing more than holding his ground—he’s widening the gap. The nation’s leading second-crop sire added another stakes winner this weekend when Cyber Buzz captured the Desert Classic Futurity, marking two stakes winners in as many weekends and continuing a run that includes a growing list of qualifiers and black-type earners across the country.
Cyber Monday struck again on Sunday at Turf Paradise when Cyber Buzz remained unbeaten with a strong showing in the $80,920 Desert Classic Futurity. The filly covered 300 yards in :15.513 over a fast track, taking command early, and holding to the wire under jockey Francisco Zamora.
Owned and trained by Alex Torres-Casas, Cyber Buzz came into the final off the fastest qualifying time of :15.356 recorded on April 6. In that effort, she separated herself from the field by 2 1/2 lengths and earned a 104 speed index, establishing herself as the one to beat heading into the final.
Bred in Iowa by Thomas Scheckel, Cyber Buzz is a graduate of the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, where she brought $8,000. She is out of Hunny Bee by Apollitical Jess.
With the victory, Cyber Buzz improved to a perfect three-for-three record. The $40,460 winner’s share pushed her earnings to $54,177.
Just one week earlier, Cyber Monday was represented by another stakes winner when Knockouts Eyes captured the inaugural Grade 3 Remington Park Appaloosa Futurity.
Knockouts Eyes, a gray 2-year-old Appaloosa, broke fourth in the nine-horse field before advancing to the lead midway through the 250-yard race. Under jockey Mario Delgado, she finished a neck in front of First Speeding Bullet, with R Tyme Will Tell another nose back in third. Remington Park’s leading trainer, Dee Keener, saddled the winner.
Bred in Oklahoma by Gary Vaughan, Knockouts Eyes is out of Eyesa Knockout. Mike Vaughan races her under the Wishbone Partnership of Norman, Oklahoma.
Knockouts Eyes stopped the clock in :13.519 over a fast track, earning an 80 speed index. She has now won two of three starts, with earnings climbing to $19,764 after picking up $16,599 for the victory.
Beyond the recent stakes wins, Cyber Monday continues to show depth across multiple states with several runners advancing into upcoming finals.
Blazin On Monday has qualified to the John Deere Sam Houston Juvenile Challenge-G3 with finals set for May 9. Cyber Eyes and Monday Dynasty both secured spots in the Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity-G2 with finals scheduled for May 10. Cyber Lawyer has also advanced to the Four Corners Futurity, which will be contested on May 23.
In addition to those qualifiers, Cyber Monday has sired three other black-type performers this season. Whatdyathinkofmenow SI 92 $173,357 finished second in the Remington Park Futurity. Cyber Courage SI 93 $140,916 was runner-up in the Desert Classic Derby at Turf Paradise. Cm Jessa Blue Monday SI 91 $83,539 placed second in the Los Alamitos Oaks.
The numbers back up what is showing up on the track. Cyber Monday closed 2025 as the nation’s second-leading first-crop sire, with progeny earnings exceeding $1 million. He has carried that momentum straight into 2026, already siring 21 winners and more than $850,000 in earnings to lead all second-crop sires.
His runners have now pushed his total progeny earnings to nearly $2 million, supported by ten black-type performers and an average return of $13,000 per starter.
There is no guesswork to it anymore. From California to Oklahoma, Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico, Cyber Monday’s runners are showing up, qualifying, and finishing when it counts.
