Zoomn On Bye Dominates AQHRA Graduation Stakes

PHOENIX, AZ—JANUARY 5, 2020—Zoomn On By, under jockey Jorge Bourdieu, blew away the competition on Sunday by winning the $18,620 AQRA Graduation Stakes by 3-˝ lengths.

The Alberta-bred son of multiple stakes sire Mezoomin raced over the 350 yards in :17.839 seconds, equaling a 92 speed index. It was the second consecutive win at Turf Paradise for the 3-yaer-old who was second in the AQRA-Turf Paradise Open Quarter Horse Futurity last month.

Allen Goodsell conditions the three-time winner for owner Thomas Pick. Bred by Shady Lane Stables, from the Eyesa Special mare Eyesa Chickin It Out, Zoomn On Bye has compiled a (10) 3-3-2 record and today's winning purse valued at $9,310 pushes his earnings mark to $45,163.

Runner-up Bp Southern Suzie broke slow under jockey Mark Jasso but recovered to finish second for owner Jerry Chapman and trainer Josh Taylor. Bill Price bred the stakes winning daughter of leading sire Corona Cartel in Oklahoma from the First Down Dash mare BP Down South. She has earned $28,812.

Jess Little Red, an Arizona-bred daughter of Jess Give It Em, finished a neck back to earn $1,862 for third. Owned-trained and bred by Raymond Felix, the bay filly was ridden by jockey Jesus Osuna. She is out of the Apollo (TB) mare She Sees Red.

Jess Special Ray, Littleroyaldasher, Carol Bonita Jd and Bear In The Air completed the field. Ms Patty Cake was scratched.
