PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ—JUNE 8, 2021—Coming off a 1-¼ length win in an optional claiming race at Turf Paradise April 16th, Valentin Jqm extended his win streak to four after defeating First Lady Perry by 1-½ lengths in the $15,000 Wayne Brasher Memorial Stakes Tuesday afternoon at Arizona Downs.
Under jockey Martin Osuna Valentin Jqm completed the 250 yards in :13.349 seconds, equaling a 93 speed index with a 18mph headwind.
Winless at 2 and 3, the 4-year-old son of champion sire Separatist has compiled a (10) 4-0-4 record and the $9,000 Brasher winner's purse boosted his earnings mark to $27,502.
Jesus Torres-Casas is the owner-trainer of the California-bred 4-year-old from the Corona Cartel mare Corona Perfection. Pedro Barbizan Santiago Leite is the breeder.

John Allred trains the 5-year-old mare for owner Scott McDaniel. Kevin Carbajal had the riding call aboard the Utah-bred out of First Lady Amber by Heza Fast Man. Bred by McColee Land & Livestock LLC, First Lady Perry has earned $70,893.
Making her first career start against older horses, Republic Anne finished half-a-length back to earn $1,500 for third. Jesus E. Olivas-Valenzuela conditions the multiple stakes-placed daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess for owner Jose Antonio De Santiago.
AQHA Champion Breeder Bobby D. Cox bred the brown filly in Texas from the Carters Cartel mare First Fancy Racy. Second in the AQRA Turf Paradise Open Spring Quarter Horse Derby in her last start Republic Anne has earned $36,410.
Completing the official order of finish were Mrs Angel Jess, Triple Vodka Jess, Check This Wagon, Untouchable Lover and Saginaw Trail.

Wednesday nine-race card at Arizona Downs will feature three trials for the Arizona Downs Quarter Horse Maiden Stakes. The 250 yard trials are the first three races with a first-post time at 2:30 pm (MDT).
