POCATELLO, ID–MAY 12, 2024–Making his first this year and third lifetime out, Northstarbpfordaddy set the fastest qualifying time for the Spring Classic Maiden Frolic (not black type) at Pocatello Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from two trial races contested today will return to the Eastern Idaho racetrack on Sunday, May 26, to vie for the winner's share of a $10,000-added purse going a distance of 300 yards.

Ridden by jockey Santiago Jimenez, Northstarbpfordaddy was a game half-length winner while posting the fastest time of 15.090 seconds, equaling an 85-speed index. The best finish the son of multiple stakes winner Bp Wagon Train could muster in two maiden starts at Grants Pass was a third.

Sergio Leon conditions the bay gelding for owner Hector Aguilera. Juan Martinez bred Northstarbpfordaddy in Nevada from Cash For Daddy by Call In The Cash.
