Through September 15, Valiant Hero is the only stallion with two of the year’s Top 5 money earners.

One Valiant Hero is the first foal of the winning Feature Mr Jess mare Smiles All Around, who is a half-sister to 4-time graded stakes winner One Special Shade $368,927. One Valiant Hero’s second dam is a half-sister to All American Futurity G1 winner Elans Special $1,186,540 and this is the family of 2015 G1 winners Kiss My Hocks $1,199,385 and Gold Digging Ashley $355,195.

“We are extremely pleased to add One Valiant Hero to our 2016 stallion roster,” said Lazy E Ranch’s Butch Wise. “This is one grand looking, sound individual that has a superior race record at Ruidoso and Remington Park. He ran a close 2nd to Rock You in the Ruidoso Derby G1 and off his earlier Oklahoma Derby win that year, then his close Ruidoso Derby G1 second, his owner and trainer had every intention of supplementing him to the All American Derby G1 and off his dominating All American Juvenile performance the previous year at 440 yards, I believe he would have had an impact on the outcome. Unfortunately, about 10 days prior to the trials he colicked and required surgery.” Wise continued.

“He is bred on the “magic cross” – Valiant Hero on a Feature Mr Jess daughter which, in addition to One Famous Hero, has been responsible for such top runners as Feature Hero, Her O Don Won, Ronnie James and others. Valiant Hero is giving every indication that he’s one of the significantly important sires of his generation and Lazy E Ranch is proud to now have secured both of his leading sons on our roster” Lazy E’s Wise said.

One Valiant Hero validated his credentials at Ruidoso with his dominating 1¾ length win in the All American Juvenile going 440 yards — the stallion-making distance. His pedigree has significant, multi-generational depth and when breeders see him in person, I know they will be as taken with him as we. More importantly, value-conscious breeders will appreciate his $2,000 fee as inviting.”
