GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALB—JULY 31, 2022—Racing at 26-1 odds, Sizzling Wagon broke her maiden with a half-length win over Noble Rearing in the $49,713(US) John Deere Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge on Sunday at Grand Prairie Racetrack.

Under jockey Andrew Wright, Sizzling Wagon went wire-to-wire in :18.458 seconds into a 20 mph headwind over "good" racing surface. It was the first win three starts for the daughter of first-crop sire Jd Wagon Boss.

Trainer Buckey Stockwell saddled the Alberta homebred for owner-breeder Glenn Wills.  The bay filly picked up $19,024(US) for her effort to bring her earnings mark to $22,228. She is out of the Sizzlin Red Corona mare Northfork Sizzle

Sizzling Wagon's sire, the multiple stakes winning son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon Jd Wagon Boss, won the 2017 John Deere Evergreen Park Juvenile Challenge and went on to finish second in the Grade 2 John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship at Prairie Meadows that year.

Today's win also includes an invite for Sizzling Wagon to run in the Grade 2 $125,000-est. John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship to be held October 22nd at Horseshoe Indianapolis during the Bank of American Challenge Championships.

Still a maiden from four starts, third-fastest qualifier Noble Rearing earned $10,933(US) for finishing second. The son of leading sire Favorite Cartel was bothered at the start under jockey J.B. Botello but still put in a game effort.

William Leech trains the $36,000 Los Alamitos Equine Mixed Sale graduate for owner Jerry Stojan. Edward Allred bred Noble Rearing in California form the Tr Dasher mare Sweet Tr.

Northfork Boss, also a 2-year-old by Jd Wagon Boss, finished a neck back in third for owners Glenn Willis, Buckey Stockwell and Delton Gehring. Also trained by Stockwell, the bay gelding was ridden by jockey D. I. Benitez.  Willis bred Northfork Boss from the Spanish Boot mare Northfork Babe. He earned $3,963 (US).

Professor Gee, Springeleer, and Heza Majestic Hero completed the field. Jamez Bond was scratched.
