SOUTH JORDAN, UT—JUNE 4, 2020—Fastest qualifier Corona Wildfire heads a field of 10 2-year-olds entered back in Saturday’s 330-yard, $32,400 Eye On Corona Virus Futurity at Laurel Brown Racetrack near Salt Lake City.
A bay daughter of Corona Cartel owned by Jerry D. Chapman and a $40,000 purchase at the 2018 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale in Oklahoma City, Corona Wildfire made her official debut with a one-length victory in the first of four trials held at Weber Downs in Ogden, Utah, on May 23. The filly drew post 7 and will be ridden by Cesar T. Moreno for trainer Josh Taylor.

KP Dillion Heads Beehive Futurity Trials
Also on Saturday, 51 juveniles are entered in seven 350-yard Beehive Futurity (R) trials.
Karl R. Peterson’s KP Dillon, a homebred son of Glock trained by Riley Moosman, drew post 2 and will be ridden by Jesus Valenzuela in the fifth trial.
The gelding has earned $36,057 from two outs, and his resume includes a nose victory in the 330-yard, $88,000 Hadley/Giles Futurity at Weber Downs on May 24.
The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the June 20, $100,000-est. Beehive Futurity final.
