RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–MAY 29, 2022–
KJ Frankie B, a homebred 5-year-old son of world champion Apollitical Jess, is the 5-2 morning-line favorite for Monday's 350-yard, $25,000 John Andreini Memorial Stakes at Ruidoso Downs.

Trained by Wes Giles for owners John Lee, Kathy Lee, and Ruben Mares, KJ Frankie B is coming off of a third-place finish, three-quarters of a length behind winner TLC Signature, in the May 1, $75,000 La Plata Stakes at SunRay Park. The Arizona-bred gelding has earned $208,770 from 23 outs, and he has won two of his three starts at the 350-yard distance.

KJ Frankie B drew post 8 and will be ridden by Adrian Ramos.

The runner-up in the La Plata, Everybodyneedsahero, drew post 7 and will be ridden by Noe Garcia Jr. for owners Luis Sanchez, Calixto Iturralde, and Alfonso Molina. The 6-year-old Valiant Hero gelding is trained by Lee Gutierrez, and he will be seeking his first career stakes victory on Monday.
